DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE

PURPOSE BY
REVELATION
As you well
know, that the last series showed us how that man’s divine purpose can be made
known by revelation, that is the point we want to elaborate in these series.
There is an
adage that says; if the purpose of a thing is unknown, abuse is inevitable. If
that is with man God Himself created man with HIS own divine purpose.
There are
several Scriptures to show us that He designed man with His own plan for him to
work out before the great and terrible day of the LORD.
Let us go to
Jeremiah
1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee and before thou camest forth
out of the womb I sanctified thee and I ordained thee a
Prophet unto the nations.
Another
example is the birth of Solomon in the palace of king David. Solomon was not
the first born of king David but by divine plan, he was to be made a king after
his father 1 Chronicles 2:29 we also
know that the scriptures say that there are those that are ordained unto
eternal life Acts 13: 48 and some ordained unto condemnation Jude vs 4.
We want to
find out something about purpose. While we are checking out purpose of man, God
should not be forgotten as He only knows how and when man came into existence
and the group he/she falls into.
I had this
experience with the LORD in Genesis 1:26 God said; Let us make man in our own
image and likeness.
I told God
one day, that human beings are so many on earth and there are only two
destinations for man. How can we salvage this great number of people from going
to the negative side of life?
This was HIS
reply to me as I heard: THE LORD ASKED ME THESE TWO QUESTIONS

AM I THE ONE
THAT BROUGHT ALL THE MARRIAGES ON
EARTH?
(2)
ALL THE
NUMBER OF CHILDREN BORN ON EARTH, ARE THEY BORN BY MY WILL?
THAT
I SHOULD KNOW, THAT HE WORKS TIRELESSLY TO SAVE FIRST THOSE THAT MARRIED IN HIS
WILL.
As we
pursue, to find out what divine purpose is, we should know that some divine
purposes brings Joy and some register long lasting sorrow that cannot be wiped
away.
Look at the
announcement of whom The LORD Jesus
Christ is and that of John The Baptist. Their purpose brought great delight to
the two families. Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is
given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be
called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The
Prince of Peace.
Let us look
at the situation of King David whom God told of the birth of Solomon. At the
time Solomon was born, King David had gotten a family of wife and children. Ahinoam,
and Abigail, Adonijah. See what God did to David, HE so felt bad at what David
did to Uriah that HE said a child born by former Uriah’s wife will become a
king to rule after him. What is the meaning of that?
Any time in
history king Solomon is mentioned, the sin of his father will be remembered,
the shame and reproach never to be wiped away proverb 6:30 Do you think at the
revelation of Solomon’s birth and who he would be brought great Joy to his
father –King David?
This brings us to another dimension of
purpose.

Purpose of man can be as God ordained it
Jeremiah 1:5

Purpose can also be changed as a result of a
sinful life style as we see in the case of king David 1 chronicle 22:9. Behold, a son
shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest
from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will
give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.
Was it the
perfect will or purpose of God for Uriah, Bathsheba to give birth to Israel’s
king after David? The answer is capital no. The LORD could have chosen out of
the sons of David born by his former wives before Bathsheba became his wife.
This is
where we need to create a very close fellowship with our LORD and SAVIOR Jesus
Christ to be able to discover our divine purpose in order not to utter it due
to Sin.
For those
who have been able to discover theirs, I rejoice with you and believe you
receive enough divine guidance to jealously watch over it till you submit your
trophy on the last day.
In the next
series we shall deliberate more on how to guide your parts in the way of
satisfying God here on earth, being instructed and guided to walk on the narrow
road of holiness and righteousness, God’s way.

VERY OWN CUP
“son” He said, the tone of His voice sounding
grave, this cup was made just for you, EVERY PERSON who enters this world
will receive his own cup to drink from. This one is yours. It has been fashioned especially with you in mind. There’s no other
like it.
Your cup contains the FATHERS WILL and PURPOSE
CHOSEN just for you; it was Fashioned by my Father’s Hands and is filled with
His THOUGHTS AND INTENTIONS. Consider the
following points listed.
1.
HIS WILL
(Matt 26:39) And HE went a little farther, and fell on HIS face, and
prayed, saying O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me:
nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
(Acts 13:22) And when HE had removed him, HE raised up unto them David
to be their king: to whom also HE gave their testimony and said I have found
David the son of Jesse, a man after my own heart who shall fulfil all my will.
(John 4:34) JESUS said unto them, my meat is to do the WILL of Him that
sent me, and to finish His work.

HIS PURPOSE CHOSEN
(Jer. 1:5) Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before
thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a
prophet unto the nations.
3.
HIS THOUGHTS
(Jer. 29:11) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith The
LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end.
(Jer.18:8) If that nation against whom I have pronounced, turn from
their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.
4.
HIS INTENTIONS
(Jer. 30:24) The fierce anger of The LORD shall not return, and until HE
have performed the intents of HIS heart: in the lather days ye shall consider
it.
Ø Will - expressing intention, ability, or a
request
Ø Purpose - the reason for living or existence
Ø Thoughts - daily thinking towards you by GOD
Ø Intent - what God determines for your life
These four points are to be considered seriously in our lives or
otherwise there would be a cry of “Had I known” on the Day of Judgement (Mathew
7:21) Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord shall enter the Kingdom of
Heaven: but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in Heaven.
May The LORD give you understanding in the name of Jesus Christ? Amen!
